The Flintstones made television history as the first ever animated programme to air in primetime. The colourful sitcom was targeted to adults and children alike, documented the lives of The Flintstones, a working class family headed by father Fred, wife Wilma and pet dog Dino, all of whom found themselves in humorous situations with neighbours Barney and Betty Rubble. Legendary voice artists Mel Blanc gave life to Barney Rubble and Dino throughout the programme’s run.
