Who Can I Refer?
You can refer as many friends as you like through “Refer-A-Friend” as long as they're not already registered at DVD VideoPlanet.com. You'll earn a NZ$5.00 savings voucher for each referral as long as the friends are eligible and they become a DVD VideoPlanet.com customer. Friends who are already DVD VideoPlanet.com customers are not eligible for this program. E-mail addresses will be verified when they are entered.
Is My Friend's Privacy Protected?
We are committed to protecting the privacy of our customers and the privacy of their friends. This is why we'll only use your friend's e-mail address for the purposes of this program. If your friends become DVD VideoPlanet.com customers, then they'll be covered by our privacy policy. Any friends who receive a referral and choose not to become a DVD VideoPlanet.com customer will not be eligible to receive another referral e-mail for one year. Furthermore, when your friends receive the referral e-mail they'll be given the opportunity to remove their e-mail address from the “Refer-A-Friend” program permanently if they wish.
When Will I Receive My NZ$5.00 "Thank You" Savings Voucher?
You will receive your NZ$5.00 Voucher (redeemable on purchases over NZ$34.95 excluding shipping/P&P) promptly after your friend's order has been placed. In most cases this will be quick because they only have Four weeks to use their Voucher. However, even for successful referrals, it may take some time to receive your Voucher (depending on how quickly your friend responds). For instance, your friend may not respond to the “Refer-A-Friend” e-mail immediately, or may not make a purchase at DVD VideoPlanet.com right away.
What happens if I refer a friend who is not eligible?
If you refer a friend who is not eligible, they will not receive a referral email and Savings Voucher.
Why can't I be told which of my friends are already DVD VideoPlanet.com customers?
We are committed to protecting our customers' privacy. Therefore we are unable to notify you if your friend is an existing customer at DVD VideoPlanet.com.
Will I receive a Savings Voucher for every friend I introduce?
You may not receive a savings voucher for every friend you introduce. Some possible reasons for this include:
- The friend you introduced is already a customer with DVD VideoPlanet.com.
- Your friend has already been referred by someone else.
- Your friend has decided not to place an order.
- You have submitted an invalid e-mail address for your friend.
How long does my friend have to use their savings voucher?
The savings voucher is valid for four weeks from the day it is issued.
I've referred several friends and have received several Savings Vouchers. Can I use more than one Savings Voucher per order?
The Savings Voucher that you receive from the Refer-a-Friend programme is a promotional Savings Voucher, the same as the Review/comments vouchers. These Savings Vouchers are restricted to one Savings Voucher per order.
My friend has placed an order and received it. Where's my Savings Voucher?
We will dispatch your Savings Voucher once your friend's complete order has been fulfilled. If there are outstanding items on the order, you will receive your Savings Voucher as soon as the remaining items have been dispatched.
Is there a minimum purchase requirement when using the Savings Voucher?
Yes. A minimum total order amount of 34.95 (excluding shipping) is required to apply your Savings Voucher to your order.
I have received a Savings Voucher for successfully referring one of my friends. Can you please tell me which one of my friends placed their order so I can thank them?
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide this information because of our commitment to our customers' privacy.
